This quote
"God, this quote is really true. I've known people who have gone through some very tough times in life. Some of them allow their experiences to motivate them to try harder, keep a positive attitude, and be generally nice. Others have become bitter, withdrawn, negative, and are generally not pleasant to be around. Please, help me to keep my eyes on You and on the positive view of life. Don't ever let me become a bitter, negative person. Help me to be an encouragement to the people I face every day. Give me strength to live in the power of the Holy Spirit. And please, forgive me where I have failed. Thank You, God, for giving me hope and a future.
In Jesus' name I pray, amen."

SEVEN THINGS GOD HATES
By Micki Farington
It says in Proverbs 6:16 – 19 that there are seven things that God hates. These things are an abomination to God, and they are:
1. A proud look - exalted eyes; those who will not condescend to look on the rest of mankind. 2. A lying tongue - he who neither loves nor tells truth.
3. Hands that shed innocent blood, whether by murder or by battery.
4. A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations - the heart that fabricates such, lays the foundation, builds upon it, and completes the superstructure of iniquity.
5. Feet that be swift in running to mischief - he who works iniquity with greediness.
6. A false witness that speaketh lies - one who, even on his oath before a court of justice, tells any thing but the truth.
7. He that soweth discord among brethren - he who troubles the peace of a family, of a village, of the state; all who, by lies and misrepresentations, strive to make men's minds evil-affected towards their brethren.
I’d like to ask you to read these things once again that break the heart of God, and then ask yourself, “Is this talking about me?”
"Watch, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the son of Man is coming."
SIGNS OF THE TIMES
The Bible says we cannot know the time of the Lord's return (Matt 25:13), but Scripture makes it equally
clear that we can know the season of the Lord's return (I Thes 5:2-6). "You yourselves know full well that the day
of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should
overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night or darkness; so then
let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober."
Isaiah 55:8
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD."

ONE DAY AT A TIME
Matthew 6:34 (NLT), "So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today."
January is that time of year when so many people are making “New Year’s” resolutions. They are either deciding to do something they haven’t been doing, or deciding to stop doing something they have been doing. The reason is always the same. They want to improve their lives — change something they aren’t happy with.
There is none holy as the Lord.
There is none, besides Him.
Neither is there any Rock like our God.
There is none holy as the Lord
We are living in a time when if we’re not IN LOVE with our God -- so much so that we have no where else we want to turn -- we won’t be able to stand. God woke me up this morning with these words.
"CAN'T WAIT!"
Closing your eyes won't shut out the fear as you race through the winding caves of a 6 1/2-story tall mountain — in impenetrable darkness. This was going to be our grandson's first roller coaster ride and the sign ahead had a line marked above the form of a child, with the minimum height required to be allowed on the ride.

And One Day You Will Be the Old People Too!!!!!!
What a statement to make, but it’s true. Sometimes, to tell the truth is harder than it is to just say nothing.
When I first met Micki, in one of our early conversations, she told me a story that was handed down to her from her father. When Micki was a little girl she and her Dad use to go to the nursing home to visit her grandmother, and on one of those visits her dad was trying to relay to her why her grandmother was in the nursing home, and he said:
Onions -- Mayonaise
The Cure & The Culprit
In 1919 when the flu killed 40 million people, there was a doctor that visited many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu. Many of the farmers and their families had contracted it and many died.
The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different, the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home (probably only two rooms back then).

Our Christian Country Gospel News will be late going up this month as I have been dealing with a virus in my eye for over a week that is very painful, very sensitive to glare and light and waters profusely. It's better but not near well. Will be working on it as quickly as I can. Much love to you all.
